Looking into my future, I want to see myself as a great full-time high school math teacher, being able to connect with students on a personal level, and being able to teach in an engaging manner for as many students as I can. It might not be the best paying job, but it will fulfill me in the same way as it does today, and that’s all I want in life. I don’t need fancy cars and food, just enough to be able to save up with another income to buy a house, and possibly enough income to support a kid when I feel that the time is right. I just need enough money to feel comfortable and to be able to support my future family.

As for hobbies, I might continue gaming on the side, however, I might turn it into board game nights at the school which I will work for, which would be a nice way to consolidate my passions. I could also upgrade my current setup for creating music, either by getting more software or through learning more techniques over time as I publish more music. I might even get a small jazz band set up to play at smaller venues like bars or small gatherings.

Balancing work with life will be tough, I’ll admit I have heard. Through study and from first-hand accounts, I have heard that work-life balance is quite challenging in this profession. Teaching is a job that needs a lot of dedication and self-sacrifice, but I am willing to do that sacrifice, if it means that I get to shape future generations into the best people they can be.

I will most likely continue studying mathematics on my own time as I do like self-education. I find the history and theories quite fascinating, so I will continue to expand my mathematical knowledge far into the future, even outside of my formal education. Understanding our past breakthroughs will allow me to figure out what we did and why we did those things, which will give me a better understanding about why humans came up with these theories, and how we use them practically in our everyday lives.
