Iโm planning to get as many scholarships as possible to be the main fund of my college education. Currently, I have been working on various scholarships, trying to get the highest chance to get close to my tuition and room costs. Being a first-year student, I will be required to live on-campus for my first year. After my first year, I will try to plan to live with a few roommates to get cheaper room costs. My parents are also deciding to contribute a few thousand dollars to help me, too. As stated before, I will attempt to be part of a work-study program to help offset some of the college tuition as well. If I can not be part of the work-study program, I will attempt to find a part-time job around Corvallis, which would act similarly.
For my personal expenses, I feel like I am easy to please. I do not spend exorbitantly, and I am content with what I currently have. That being said, I will have wants and I am human, so hopefully I will be fine with a small amount of money for whatever I might want while I am in college. Like have you seen the Switch 2 prices? $450 for JUST the console itself! With no games! You need to shell out an extra $50 just for Mario Kart World, or $80 for other games sold seperately! Itโs absurd! I wonโt have that type of money, but as long as I keep good care of what I have right now, it should be able to hold me until I want something newer.
Finally, the rest will be paid through loans, since I do not exactly have stacks of money to be throwing towards this. I do have a sum of money (around $2,000) in a savings account, but that will only cover a small portion of what Iโll need in total. Hopefully, as a public worker, I might have my student loans forgiven, but for the meantime, Iโll be in a good chunk of student debt.
